Boys and Girls Club of Garden Grove info

The Boys and Girls Club of Garden Grove does substantial work in Garden Grove.
But, what fuels this work and what are the agreements which create this revenue?

Well, let's talk about the Garden Grove Boys and Girls Club numbers.

They published their 2007 return on guidestar.

Pat Halberstadt was paid $100,000 in compensation and $3,939 in benefits. Adaleen McHale (exec director) received $60,769 in compensation and $1,894 in benefits.
The grant writer at the Garden Grove Boys and Girls Club, Melanie Hare, received $53,538 in compensation and $2,750 in benefits.
These numbers are consistent with most small non-profit enterprises in the OC.

However, more eye opening is the program service revenue line.

Statement 3 lists the "Other Expenses" which include over $1,233,673 in expenses, including a $71,432 "special event expense", $10,277 in marketing, and an additional $297,876 in "Administration" expense.

Let me point out that the $1,014,304 in Total "Other Expenses" appears to be interesting because the "public support" is $952,156.

Unlike BSA, Boys and Girls club benefits from huge government handouts.

They claim $4.5 MILLION DOLLARS in income.

BSA does not have this type of income line.

So, this ONE Club spent more for "other expenses" than they got in public support.
